Starting my Masters in the fall. Part time, no biggie. Time to pick a course for the first semester.
Reading through course descriptions,
1) This course will start with brief reviews…Fourier transform (yeah, I’ve heard of him). After these preparations we will discuss…using the example of Lorenz Equation (him too)…followed by detailed analysis of …and the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability (um?). From there we proceed to…Orr-Sommerfeld equation (who now?), Rayleigh’s theorem (phew, I know that one) and Fjortoft’s theorem (Ok, now they’re just making shit up)…
I’ll put this one on the maybe-next-year list.
2) …experimental techniques such Hot and Cold Wire Anemometry…
